YUKSEK returns to Lumière Noire under his esteemed DESTIINO alias for a brand new album. Driven by a desire to expand and in some way reinvent himself and his sound via his DESTIINO alias, the first album ‘DESTIINO’ released in 2021 on Lumière Noire Records laid the foundations for this tormented alter ego. 
YUKSEK takes the experiment even further with ‘ii’, a 10-track album that drifts freely between downbeat, ambient house, dark disco, and industrial electronic music.

YUKSEK returns to Lumière Noire under his esteemed DESTIINO alias, for a brand new release. Fans of PIERRE-ALEXANDRE BUSSON’s producer alias DESTIINO will undoubtedly rejoice when hearing ‘IMAGERY’. The lead-single of this dreamy two-tracker oozes with carefree charm featuring a core rhythm that meanders frivolously to a murmuring backdrop of mechanical melodies and cloudy sound patterns mustering a bitter-sweet ambience that’ll leave listeners yearning for more. ‘SOMLAKE’ feat. IÑIGO VONTIER, an artist who has had several previous releases as well as an album on Lumière Noire, closes the release with a syncopated calypso led groove, lending ideas from numerous sources to cultivate an eclectic mix of styles similar to those heard on DESTIINO’s debut LP. Awash with coiling synth, sporadic percussion and wonderfully convolute pad effects the beat makes for a slick, quick-shifting melody that zigzags hazily along until its final measure.

The DESTIINO project is a sort of tormented alter ego for YUKSEK, a step away from conventional creative processes and towards spontaneous improvisation. During sessions (some of which taking place at visual artist XAVIER VEILHAN’s Studio Venezia), the Rheims-born electronic producer took to exploring new sonic horizons. Eschewing overly-wrought melodies, DESTIINO delves into dark atmospheres, experiments with textures, and surrenders to feverish flights of fancy.
